This is a natural cedar chair which is made by Japanese craftmen. They use traditional way of drying cedar which is logged following a plan.　



＜Cut down cedar in a planned schedule – Reduce CO2 ＞

There are many people who think that it harms our environment to cut down forests.
However, cutting down trees following a plan is an effective way to reduce CO2.



As you might already know, when tree grows up, it absorbs carbon dioxide from the air, then turns carbon dioxide into oxygen through the photosynthesis process.
However, tree also does breath so it absorbs oxygen and gives out carbon dioxide.

In the life stages of tree, tree performs the photosynthesis process for growing up and the amount of breathing is small, but when it grows too big, the amount of breathing also increases, the CO2 reduction does not come into effect.


Moreover, big tree does not give space for the trees around so the photosynthesis process can not be effective as it is.

For that reasons, plan of cutting down big trees, then growing new trees makes a contribution to reducing CO2.

This chair is made in Yanagawa city, Fukuoka. It is near Okawa city which is called interior city.


Because the product is order-made so it takes time – about 2 months. We receive your order, produce so you can request size and price on your demand.



Besides, your children may sit on this chair sometimes, so you can change the height of the seat.
